~ A song from my Kannan Amudhu Album ~

Hi friends,

A few years ago, I made my first musical album of 10 original songs composed by Thiru. Rajkumar Bharathi, the well known carnatic musician. He was kind enough to compose and arrange all the music for this production of mine. I was the total amateur among his group of very esteemed carnatic musicians who have played BGMs for this album. I felt very honoured singing this and it came out in South India as the album called “Kannan Amudhu”.

I am convinced to this date that I could not perform to the level expected by carnatic musicians but nevertheless I tried my best and it was only my own private album, which RKB was kind enough to approve.

The theme of this album is Krishna’s life history, from his birth to Him giving us the Geeta. This was my own concept and there are 10 songs in this album. All of the songs were sung by me under the guidance of RKB, the great grandson of none other than our beloved Bharathiyaar!.

I present below the song here that narrates Kannan going to Dhuriyodhana to avoid the WAR. But alas that could not be prevented. If you know tamil you will enjoy the lyrics. The lyrcis were written by RKB’s son Niranjan Bharathi.

I have to say that since this album was released nearly 5 years ago, I have not had the opportunity to go for more recordings due to personal reasons. Hopefully, I will be part of some album in the near future.
